Kama is the eternal force behind this creation. We are the produce of Kama only. The Veda says Kama is born out of mind. Veda also states that Moon represents mind and therefore it is perfect to take moon as the embodiment of Kama. The root cause of creation and the very material of which this cosmic drama is created is nothing but Kama. Kama can neither be ignored, not it is vincible. It is worthy of reverence. It is THE FIRST expression, maiden power of desire (Ichcha Shakti) of Shiva.
