कुलक्षये प्रणश्यन्ति कुलधर्माः सनातनाः ।
धर्मे नष्टे कुलं कृत्स्नमधर्मोऽभिभवत्युत ॥ १-४०॥
When the family (men) is destroyed the eternal laws of the family are lost and when the laws disappear from family, it is overwhelmed with the sheer lawlessness.
अधर्माभिभवात्कृष्ण प्रदुष्यन्ति कुलस्त्रियः ।
स्त्रीषु दुष्टासु वार्ष्णेय जायते वर्णसङ्करः ॥ १-४१॥
Lovely Soul,
So far Arjuna was just confused and his mind was shaken at this though expected but never-ever-experienced-yet type experience. His mind was reeling under the stress of taking up this war and trying to give him some excuses to avoid this gigantic, tiring and quite loaded (in terms of its consequences) opportunity mainly because the outcome was unpredictable and thus a fear.
Most of us think mind to be extremely active, energetic faculty of ours but more often than it is not! We might confuse its restlessness with energy but mind…
