I have been reading through your many posts and enjoying it too. I am not been able to get an answer for my doubt on whether Tantra can be practiced by LGT orientated people (I personally feel Bi types might be standing a chance here so excluding them). I have no hitch in accepting (but only in person) that I am a gay. Many times i feel that i shall not be able to work on my spiritual side. No kundalini awakening because of my sexual orientations.
Beloved ACJ, In stead of answering the question of ‘Spiritual Ascension’ for whole LGBT community I would prefer to stick to you. It is not that such generic questions don’t have any answers or that answers may attract some violent reactions the simple reason for this is – spiritual longing is an individual desire, quite personal and so it is person who is more important to me than the community, caste, creed, religion or sexual orientation.
ACJ, the methods people use to create a resonance of the orgasmic chords within this microcosm (your body) may different for people belonging to different sexual orientations but internally they all experience the same – First a moment of timelessness, thoughtlessness and joyous explosion of energy and then feeling of gloominess, disinterestedness, exhaustion. Some experience a mixed feeling of guilt too at times. Being a Gay or Bi doesn’t change your experience anyways. Those who aren’t lucky enough to find partners for themselves may resort to other means to reach that one moment of timelessness, thoughtlessness and bliss. They too are experiencing same within except they miss the feeling of receiving/giving, intimacy and cooperation. Many religious scriptures have compared the orgasmic bliss to spiritual bliss albeit biologically created bliss is said to be of much inferior quality, momentary and is definitely accompanied by drainage of life-force from the experiencer’s body.
Being physically attracted to a similar specie in human form is no crime. Nothing has been created under the sun which is useless.. every atom, every thought, emotion and even void is full of divinity. You be a gay, lesbian or hetro until you cling to body, your awareness is body-centric, you feel that joy comes from copulation with another ‘body’ you can’t step on the path of spirituality but the preparations can be taken up irrespective of your sexual orientation. Spirituality begins when we begin inward journey.. when we start being aware of our core of being.. which is nameless, formless, timeless and always joyous. Sexuality has least to do with this orientation. Even so called sexually normal people are also needed to transcend the lower instincts in the advanced stages of Sadhana. Kundalini awakening can be accomplished by various methods (Hatha Yoga and Tantra are not the only ways) but only requirement is that one has to be orientated to higher energies and higher principle of life – and awareness has to be within. For example.. spirit of service, devotion and sakshi-bhaav can work wonders on your energies.
So ACJ, While many of our tendencies are formed because of past life experiences some are impregnated in our body and mind while being in the mother’s womb. Some say that homosexuality is not genetic but arises in the womb. Whatever way it gets developed it is not the question because as of now the one who has been programmed for such a behaviour will continue to be so helplessly and nothing wrong in it. But remember spirituality is about being in love with the whole of macrocosm and not with the hole in the microcosm. If you feel you have had enough of what you wanted.. if you often feel its just repetition.. losing its charm.. it is time you just expand your horizons.. become aware of the purpose of your coming here. To learn the methods of raising your consciousness which suit your personal temperament you are invited to attend any of Tattva Shakti Vigyaan camps.
Blessings from Masters..
