Beloved Souls,

I bow down to the divine sitting in your heart.

Before we proceed on to elaboration of upcoming shlokas let me quickly pick up some questions which have been raised and some doubts which must see the light of clarification. Some people believe that Gita has not happened in the battle field. They argue that such a long question answer session between Arjuna and Krishna is completely out of place and sounds made up.. Right they are in their argument for they are limited by their personal experiences of time and space but..

Remember, Gita is the Truth. It is a real dialogue between Krishna and Arjuna beyond any doubts for it has happened on an altogether different plane.. this in fact happened in astral plane, kind of telepathy. A plane which normally people have no experience of except in their dreamy sleep. In dreams the normal sense of time is lost and it can run either way – It can run too fast with so little events and it can also run very slow that is you can have a lifetime events happening in a time as small as even few minutes. Similar sort of communication is made possible in company of enlightened Masters and Yogis. Of recent times the mention of Mehar Baba is not out of place who entered silence (Maun Saadhna) and for him spoken words lost their meaning altogether. He did not utter a single word thereafter in his life.. almost 44 years. At best he would sometimes use cryptic hand gestures to communicate with a novice or a beginner however his advanced disciples were all in communication with him even though he did not utter a single word! And all such talks happen on a different plane.. inexplicable what to say of normal people it is a miracle even for most brilliant scientists…

In fact the flow of time in that plane, access of which is available to the enlightened Masters and Yogis is well within their control. One of my disciples from Mumbai has his parents living in Indore. They are a very traditional but progressive Maharashtrian family and as usual such families have a trend of involving themselves in spiritual pursuit. Each cultural and environmental factor weighs. Just like an urban ultra-modern family would ensure they are member of a prestigious and expensive club and regular visitor of Discs traditional middle class down to earth families have their own way. They would engage themselves in satsangs and bhajans. For some this is just a ritual but for some this becomes a preparation ground, a means for a higher spiritual purpose in life. Amit’s father, in his mid 40s developed deep affection and faith in one of the contemporary Master from south India. Despite being engaged in the fulltime government service he would devote time in service (seva) and satsangs organized in the name of Master. He would attend to these Bhajan assemblies and participate in chorus but deep down he had a desire that he should also be able to play Harmonium and also compose and lead-sing some bhajans in the praise of his Master. Yet till then he had never touched this musical instrument (harmonium) and he did not have one at home as well but he wanted to learn that.. for His Master. One night, he recalls he went to bed and slept. And in his sleep he found his Guru (Whom he lovingly calls Baba) appeared in the dream and smilingly said “You want to learn Harmonium to be able to sing bhajans for me and here I am to teach you.” Whole night the lessons of Harmonica went on and Baba also taught him one new bhajan along with its musical tune. When he woke up at 4:30 in the morning he remembered everything vividly and even suspected if he had seen a dream or went through a real musical training. The very next day there was a bhajan evening at someone’s place. When he requested to sit on harmonium everyone smiled at him but gave him a chance out of respect for his desire. In such places the devotion and emotion is more important instead of correct orders of musical notes.. And when after bowing down to his master he closed his eyes and ran his fingers over the keys chanting a bhajan everyone was stunned. He himself! His eyes were full of tears and his head bowed down in the reverence of his Guru..

It is possible for a Master to squeeze the time if he really likes. He can compress the wisdom of years to few moments if needed. Krishna is a great Yogi, born Master.. Yogeshwar, He is capable of doing it and Gita is more of a mental dialogue happening between Arjuna and Krishna on that very astral plane. Gita is definitely a reality. It is more of a telepathic conversation which has happened between Krishna and Arjuna. While all others around are engaged in preparation of battle Sanjaya has tuned in. For he has the ability to do so, he has a responsibility too. His responsibility is to narrate everything which is happening in battle-field for his blind King.

And Sanjay says “Seeing the battle formation of Pandava’s army, King Duryodhana approached his Guru, Drona and said these words: (1:2)  O Master, behold his mighty army of sons of Pandu, arranged in battle formation by your talented disciple, the son of Drupad.”

People with sick mentality and negativity speak in a particular way. Their language is full of allegations, blame and many read between the lines expressions. And you can recognize such a person very easily. Such a person is not able to check his expressions and language even when he is supposed to. We will see how few following verses completely characterize the real Duryodhana.. but enough for today.

I once again bow down to the divine sitting in your heart..

May He lead your way!

    Dear AD,
You have given a beautiful dimension to Bhagvata Gita. I keep waiting for your posts. Please do write more…..
The first chapter tells us about Vishaad yoga…
What is it and why is the word yoga attached here.
Is Vishaad also a way to enlightenment?
