When and what to leave on God?

Beloved AD, How do I discern when it is time to make things happen (take action) versus allowing things to happen (waiting)? Both beliefs have great value in my life. sometimes i am confused that is it the time to take action or is it the time to wait. i seem to feel stuck and always like a step behind. How to strike a balance?  – Sonu

A conscious effort to balance between these two decisions would verily tire anyone. It needs inner wisdom to be able to intuitively know the category of a situation and then act or wait.. Once a decision is taken it to wait it should be taken with full confidence in self… no regrets later whatsoever.

However once fallen in the category of ‘need not act or wait’ would not mean it will always remain so. Thereby comes a need of tracking the dynamics of a situation… With todays evolved Managment information systems its relatively easy – The modern to approach is that you should keep tracking a situation on people involved, their reason of being involved, their movites, factors influencing the situation, your strength, weaknesses, market conditions, competition, long term impact analysis, profit Vs loss, return on investment, rate of inflation, weather, girl friend’s mood, fuel prices, date, place and how this action of yours in this moment will be perceived by uncle of your remote cousin’s friend.. etc. And based on the current condition of these factors i.e. whether sum total of these influencing factor put on a Pareto chart or a Management Information system leads to probable yes or not. (laughs)

Any moment a decision of wait may feel like a burden to self.. then you must meditate upon it afresh. Without having an urge to act.. just relax and look within, no need to see the merits of action in given moment but just pick the brightest choice there. Then no looking back.

You may feel that the qualification and evaluation criterions differ from person to person but that is not the fact.. every meditative person takes the same decision in similar situation, I have seen. You may too analyze that later..

Also, If we have a definite motto, a vision statement for life.. the question of “when to act or when to stop’ become extremely easy. Any vision statement would do. It can not be rated as good, bad or ugly. Some would hover around self, some on others.. some on country, some on money, so on.. However The vision statement is exact reflection of a person’s innate desires.. his values, his courage, his attitude etc. Once the vision statement is ready – it can be adhere to.

Do evaluate ‘what is that I can let go (sacrifice) to achieve what I desire’.. keeping in mind that we have come and we will go. When these values are firmed in our deepest of mind and we establish our connection with supreme being then come a wisdom.

For some a prayer helps “God.. give me strength to change what I can and courage to accept what I can not. Also my lord! give me wisdom to recognize what should be changed and what not.”

Sonu.. There are no such things as golden rules to follow here except you keep following your meditation schedules. The fountain of ultimate wisdom, enthusiasm, love, light and peace.
