Why should I feel responsible for my parents?

Image

[ A bud's responsibility is just to bloom to become a flower - spreading color, joy and fragrance around]

Beloved AD.

One more thing was bothering me that is related to my parents,That is do I have any responsibility towards my parents? Sure they raised me they take care of me etc but isnt it their duty infact not doing this on their part would be wrong by them,I did not tell my parents before birth that i want to be born or something?it was their decision to have a child and hence their responsibility to raise me,so i dont think i have to “repay” them in any way. Please tell me if i am gettin it all worng?

- AC

Beloved AC,

Life doesn’t end at that point where our sight, perception and reasons give up. If you don’t know a thing about a subject you trust the words of masters in that field. Majorly there are three ways to arrive at a conclusion on any subject matter -

1. Prathyaksha Pramaan (Concluding on the basis of what you see and experience directly)
2. Anumaan Pramaan (Applying different logical approaches and deriving inferences from what you see)
3. Shabda Pramaan (When preceding two methods fail and you take written/spoken words of masters in that field)

The doubts or questions we have about life and world are dealt with using these above methods. But remember when you don’t know – you will have to trust the words of Master. You did not see the electrons, atoms, electromagnetic waves.. you have not seen numbers, decimal and various other notations (you know their symbols and functionality only.. not seen in physicality) but you trusted the Masters’ words and now you know that whatever you believed in was not just a utilitarian assumed. These things exist not only as concept but also capable of resolving extremely complex problems and challenges. So you will have to believe the words of Masters here on the birth, life, its purpose and destination.

As a Master, I must tell you that although you do not remember but you “wanted to be born”. Although you do not know but you “chose your parents” and also decided what training you would like to go through in this life to be able to raise yourself on the path of spirituality. In fact nothing in this world happens without your wish, desire. All the interplays and so called drama of life is then carried out in the framework you chose. Your parents are not just the biological carrier of your DNA. They have been chosen by you. There are so many karmic exchanges which are supposed to churn in this life. You have chosen to come to a civilized section of human race to come here in. And you already knew (before your birth) that in this society parents take good care of children. It was your motive to be born to a family who takes care of not only your basic needs but also facilitates your intellectual growth. And you have succeeded in that – your parents have raised you well, given you the desired education, helped in your intellectual progress. It was not their duty as you say – you anticipated it will happen in this way that these parents will take care of you and it has happened! It was a trait which you had taken a view of while still in spiritual world (the world or realm where you come from on this earth) this trait and chosen this family as per your level.

Even in this so called civilized world parents have choice to kill any aspiring soul who plans to come in this world, much before he is born. You have been lucky in this regard. In this civilized society parents (in their selfish and passionate behaviour towards pleasure of life) are free to let their children spoil themselves by not protecting them against bad thoughts and company, by not giving them morals, by encouraging them to do all wrong things.. but you have been fortunate to have parents who chose to stand by you for your protection against evils, diseases and possible traps of childhood and adolescence. It was not their duty Chanrashekar and they had in fact no obligation towards you to fulfill by just giving you birth. Some dreaded incidents have indicated that parents can even kill their children if parents are unable to take on with some challenging life-situations. They have neither killed you nor out of their frustration they have dumped you in the nearest dust bin for all the havoc which gets created when a new-born enters a couple’s life. Your parents have done obligation to you and this obligation could happen because they were morally, spiritually strong people. They chose to go by their responsibilities which were shouldered upon them by existing system.. they could evade that but being morally right they did not.

Master’s say – Your parents are the first representatives of GOD here on earth and I echo this that that every parent who raises their child well as per his/her capacity deserves to be treated like that. I add here that even if parents do not do any such things still they should be revered for giving you a chance to come in this world through them. That they channeled you. This itself is sufficient.

Secondly Master’s say – Every child has responsibility towards their parents. Be guided by the rule that “किसी की जिम्मेदारी को अपना हक़ नहीं समझना चाहिए” (You should never take someone’s responsibility as your right)  this is a blessing and grace of theirs on you. So even if your parents would have failed in certain aspects you can not shun your responsibilities at any cost. You are here to contribute in your own growth and those who are around you. There is nothing wrong in becoming a teacher and guide for your own parents if they are fallen due to their karma. You can always choose to live a more dignified and respectable life rather.

At the end one last thing – When you are confused about a thing and your logic says something which your heart doesn’t accept, trust the words of heart for that is the voice of your inner conscience. Currently you are confused – your mind gives you reason to drop the responsibilities but somewhere your heart says this is not right. That is the reason you are asking a question.. you did not ask me “whether i should keep left during driving” neither you asked me “whether i should kill my roommate?” you did not because on first question you know your mind needs to be trusted – it is the law of land and we need to abide by that. On the second question your voice of heart says aloud “You have no right to hurt anyone and take away the light of living”. You take one of the other way.

Now I have given you enough food for thoughts and its your turn to make choices. I know you will not disappoint yourself.

Rise higher in Meditation with Masters on Buddh Poornima

Beloved Fellow Travellers,

We are going to experience unprecedented high of masters’  energies tomorrow (6 may 2012) on Buddh Poornima. This is a special day for all those who wish to enrich their experience of Meditation, strengthen their Sadhana and aspiration.

As full moon blesses us tomorrow, it will become the catalyst for the energies you possess. It means your experience is enhanced as the celestial constellations support your ascension. It is very important to understand here that our state of mind and seed thought is very critical as it affects the whole process. As the energy moves towards higher chakras, the vibrations which are prevalent in your mind will get strengthened. It means if you are calm and loving you will as such you will feel more of it. If you remain annoyed and upset you are likely to feel more of it in days to come.
Such changes are subtle but these affect your progress in even day to day life. More than you others will feel the difference. So conduct yourself wisely throughout the day. Here your “Sankalp Shakti” or resolve will help you. Start your day with keeping in view which emotion or quality of your’s you wish to strengthen. You can use phrases like “I am feeling peaceful and calm” or “I am able to give and receive love easily” or “I am able to accept everyone as they are.” The Sankalp will help you focus your energies in the direction you wish to work on.

Master has told that time between 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM in the later evening is especially congenial to our growth. So on this auspicious occasion all fellows of Sacred Association are coming together for group meditation. Where you are doesn’t make a difference. So start it sharp at 10:00 PM. Just sit down calmly, Invoke master’s energies by sincere prayers for protection and guidance and just watch your breath… enjoy the blissful experience.

Wishing you all a very happy Buddh Poornima,

In love with divine in you,

Ma

A book written by Shri GS Sharma on Sukhmani Sahib

Collection of wisdom from Sukhmani Sahib
Sukhmani Sahib : Reflections by Shri GS Sharma
(Sukhmani Sahib – Released by Acharya Sri Agyaatdarshan)

Beloved Soul,

In our daily prayers we all hail our mortal Guru as the embodiment of the divine guiding light from the highest source however only those who rise up the rungs of spiritual ladder realize how true is this. They experience that the “Akshar Braham” and Anaadi Sadguru are those eternal ones who are always concerned with our growth and full of compassion for us and work through our Mortal Guru. This Nitya Anadi Sadguru or Param Guru has been referred to as ”Wahe Guru” in  the highly revered spiritual text Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Sukhmani Sahib, the section of Sri Guru Granth Sahib which contains 24 Asatpadis begins the need of Meditation and fixing your consciousness upon Him (Brahman) and then further engages in praise of His divine attributes.

Sukhmani Sahib are the words of a Master, the deeper meanings of which are revealed by the divine grace of Waheguru only to those true seekers who constantly meditate and contemplate upon Him, the Brahman. Our Beloved Master Acharya Agyaatdarshan sees such a true seeker in Shri. GS Sharma who has complied his deeper understanding in his recent book “Sukhmani Sahib”.

Shri GS Sharma, the able writer of this book ‘Sukhmani Sahib’ who is very closely associated with our beloved Master AD has hunbly expressed his desire to have this book be released on this blog. With the permission of Master AD I am pleased to announce the formal release of this book here.

This book Sukhmani Sahib is a 200 paged book in Hindi language and it goes without saying that it is a casket full of glittering percious gems spiritual insights derived from the verses of original text in Gurumukhi. Master AD recommends it to one and all especially those who are sincerely engaged in self-exploration and trying to find the common thread across different religions of our times.

Those who are interested in getting a copy of this book can directly write to the author on sharmagss99@rediffmail.com or get in touch on +91 9999000097.

Happy reading & may Waheguru bless you all,

Only reason to believe in God!

radharahiArpan: Why should we believe in God?.. Because there are some questions which can not be answered by ‘Google’.

AD: The “Modern Age Jigyaasu-Seeker” has an oceanic knowledge body. For all he needs to know, all he wants to know, all he can know there is – The google Guru. You are right Arpan. Only if people are finding themselves more knowledgeable and empowered for the reason they have information. Although the secret wisdom is now out in the market.. right there at their finger tips and click of mouse but  the self-discovery has got another name its called “Discovery”. If Google misses it out you can feed on it.

The only reason left to believe in God is some questions which are still unanswered. I remember Osho declaring the word “Fuck” becoming the most important word in the english dictionary in today’s context. I feel sorry for him that in his times Google wasn’t there.. he could not use the all perfading powers of this magical Guru to his favor and pay the tribute to this beloved master-of-all Guru Google.

I suggest to all modern seekers to bank on it and wait for them to come back. If they do not come back I once again know God exists and exists without the need of any belief , He exists beyond any doubts whatsoever for only he can create such people and such thinking..

A beggar walks up to a well-dressed woman who is shopping on Rodeo Drive and said, “I haven’t eaten anything in four days.”

She looked at him and said, “God, I wish I had your willpower.”
